N709FR is a 2016 Airbus A321-211, serial 7097, delivered to Frontier Airlines as "Steve the Eagle" on 30 April 2016 while leased from GECAS, with a first flight recorded on 23 April 2016. FAA records show the aircraft financed through AFS Investments 68 LLC of Connecticut starting in 2016, before a Wilmington Trust Co trustee structure took over registration from 2018. Over the observed year the jet flew 1,143 flights totaling 2,154.3 hours, with chapters at KMCO, TJSJ, KPHL, KDEN, KORD, and KFLL, consistent with Frontier's leisure-route network. On 9 July 2026, flight records identified N709FR, operating as Frontier flight FFT3174 from Denver to Chicago O'Hare, as the aircraft diverted to Indianapolis. The airframe remains active a decade after delivery, unlike several sister ships in the broader A321-211 cohort that have since left the registry.
