Stabilator

Methodology

Stabilator separates official/public records from observed ADS-B activity and from derived or AI-interpreted summaries.

Official / public

Registration, serial number, manufacturer, and NTSB records when matched.

Observed

Detected flights, observed airborne hours, estimated distance, and routes from third-party observation coverage. UI labels use Observed or Detected — never “total time flown.”

Derived

Probable base airport, usage pattern labels, and day/night classification from structured metrics.

Data coverage

Flight activity is based on available third-party ADS-B observations and may be incomplete. A month can have coverage and still show no detected flights. Periods without source coverage are excluded from activity totals and are not labeled as inactivity. Data coverage is the share of the past year for which the source answered, not a claim that every flight was seen.

AI summary

Interpretation of supplied structured information only. AI drafts; humans remain responsible for decisions.
