Stabilator support
Email support@stabilatorops.com and we'll get back to you within two business days. Include the tail number and a screenshot if your question is about a specific aircraft.
Which phones can run it, and where do I download it?
iPhone, iOS 16.4 or later. Android 8.0 or later. There's no iPad app yet. Download on the App Store or get it on Google Play. The publisher on both stores is OB Labs.
How do I sign in?
On iPhone you can use Apple, Google, or an email code. On Android, Google or an email code. On the website, Google or an email link. Apple sign-in is iPhone only.
Do I need an account to use the map?
No. The live map and a basic lookup work without an account, on the web and in the app. In the app, free lookups are limited to 3 a day. An account is what saves a Hangar to your name, turns on alerts, and carries Pro between devices.
What does Pro include?
Unlimited aircraft lookups in the app. 12 months of detected flights and hours, home base, and recent routes in the app. Registration history and prior tail numbers in the app. Full spotter briefs, including how to recognize the type. Unlimited departure and landing alerts, and alerts when a watched livery flies. Hangar saved to your account and synced across devices you're signed into. Earlier liveries and the full airframe story in the app. Aircraft Reports for $6 instead of $9 on the website.
What does Pro cost?
In the apps, Pro is $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. On the website it's $4.99 a month. The website doesn't sell a yearly plan. Pro bought in the app renews through Apple or Google, and you manage it there. Pro bought on the website is managed from My Aircraft.
Does Pro work on iPhone, Android, and the web?
Yes, when you're signed in to the same account. A website subscription is Pro in the app. An app subscription, once you're signed in, gets the $6 Aircraft Report price on the website and is recognized on the other phone. The charge stays with Apple, Google, or the website, wherever you subscribed. If you bought Pro on a phone before you signed in, sign in on that phone so the purchase attaches to your account. Restore purchases looks for a subscription from that phone's store, so it won't find an Apple subscription on an Android phone.
How do I cancel Pro?
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. Cancel at least a day before it renews. The app's Settings screen also has Manage subscription, which opens the store page for the phone you're on. On the website, open My Aircraft and choose Manage subscription. That opens the billing page. You can also email support@stabilatorops.com.
How do I restore a purchase?
In the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchases. That looks for an active Pro subscription on the store account for that phone. If you subscribed on the website, or on the other kind of phone, sign in with the same account instead. Reports you bought on the website are separate. See the reports question below.
What happens when Pro ends?
The extra features turn off. In the app you go back to 3 lookups a day and 3 watches, and new Hangar saves stay on that phone instead of syncing to your account. Aircraft Reports go back to $9. Reports you already bought stay in My Aircraft. If a website payment fails, Pro stays on while the card is retried, then it ends if the payment doesn't go through.
Can I get a refund?
Our terms don't promise a refund. For an App Store purchase, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Google Play purchase, use Google Play's refund flow on the order. For a purchase on the website, email support@stabilatorops.com. Apple and Google decide store refunds.
What's the difference between the Aircraft Report and the History Report?
An Aircraft Report is $9, or $6 with Pro. It covers how the airplane has been flying over the last twelve months. An Aircraft History Report is $29 for everyone. It follows the airframe through the FAA's yearly files: registrants, tail numbers, and NTSB records under every name. Buying the History Report also opens the Aircraft Report for that same airframe. Both are bought on the website. Start from for buyers.
Where do purchased reports live, and how do I get back in?
When you're signed in, purchased reports are listed at My Aircraft. If you bought as a guest, open the sign-in page and use Restore access. If that email has a matching purchase, we send a fresh link. You can also open the link from the purchase email.
Where does the information come from?
Public registry records and ADS-B observations. Data sources and methodology say what each field is and what it isn't. Stabilator is not an official FAA, NTSB, or airworthiness record.
Why isn't an aircraft showing?
A few ordinary reasons. The owner limited public flight data through the FAA's LADD program, or a similar privacy program, so we don't show that airplane's flights, routes, airports, or utilization. Registration and ownership can still appear. It may not be broadcasting ADS-B, or it may be outside the coverage we receive. We look up U.S. N-numbers, so a foreign registration won't come up.
How do I report a mistake?
Use corrections, or email support@stabilatorops.com with the tail number and what looks wrong.
How do I turn alerts on, and why might they not arrive?
Sign in, then turn on departure and landing alerts from the aircraft page. Alerts for a whole livery collection are part of Pro. The phone has to allow notifications for Stabilator. If they're off, the app sends you to Settings. If the app says alerts aren't available yet, they're switched off on our side. If it says it couldn't register this phone, try again in a moment. Free accounts can watch 3 aircraft. Pro removes that cap.
What can I post, and how do I remove a photo?
Post aircraft photos you took. Don't post close-ups of people's faces or of private property without permission. The community guidelines cover the rest. New photos are reviewed before they appear. Anyone signed in can report a photo, and a reported photo is hidden until it's reviewed. There isn't a button yet to delete a single photo you posted. Deleting your account withdraws your photos. To take one down sooner, email support@stabilatorops.com.
Delete your Stabilator account
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings tab in the app. Deleting your account signs you out everywhere and removes anything that identifies you; your Hangar, watches, and sightings are archived and photos you posted are withdrawn. It doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that separately.
No longer have the app? Email support@stabilatorops.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. For other data requests, see privacy requests.
How do I make a privacy request?
Account deletion is above. For other privacy or LADD requests, follow privacy requests. That page asks you to use the corrections form or email legal@stabilatorops.com with the N-number and your relationship to the aircraft.
How do I reach you?
Email support@stabilatorops.com. We reply within two business days. Include the tail number and a screenshot if the question is about a specific aircraft.
