What is Stabilator?
Stabilator is hangar software for general-aviation maintenance shops. It runs live work orders with photo-backed discrepancies, owner approvals from a phone, parts and progress status, drafted logbook language, and invoices that reconcile to what was approved — so the bay keeps moving and the airplane record stays with the owner.
Who is Stabilator built for?
Stabilator Shop is built for GA maintenance shops — independent A&P shops and Part 145 repair stations that need faster owner approvals and a cleaner job record. Aircraft owners use Stabilator to review estimates, approve or defer lines, and follow the job without logging into a heavy portal.

How do I get access to Stabilator?
Request access from stabilatorops.com and book a short walkthrough. We walk Stabilator against a real work order the way your floor runs. Existing shop users sign in at app.stabilatorops.com.
Does Stabilator sign aircraft logbooks?
No. Stabilator drafts and formats maintenance language as a tool. The A&P, IA, or other authorized certificate holder reviews and signs. Stabilator does not return aircraft to service and is not the author of official maintenance entries.
Who is responsible if AI-drafted logbook text is wrong?
The signing mechanic or inspector and the shop. AI drafts are suggestions only. They stay marked until a person confirms or edits them. Anything committed to an aircraft record is the certificate holder's responsibility, not Stabilator's.
Can aircraft owners approve work without a password?
Yes. Owners can open a secure magic link from email, review photo-backed estimate lines, and approve or defer from their phone without creating a password first.
Is Stabilator FAA approved or certified software?
Stabilator is business software for shops and owners. It is not an FAA approval, certificate, or substitute for mechanic judgment, ops specs, or regulatory compliance. Shops remain responsible for how they use it under 14 CFR and their own authorizations.
How does Stabilator keep shop data separate?
Every tenant row is scoped to an organization. Aircraft belong to an owner organization; shops see them only through explicit access grants. Application repositories and database policies enforce those boundaries so one shop cannot read another shop’s jobs.
Where is Stabilator data hosted?
Application data is hosted in the United States on managed Postgres and object storage used by the product. Marketing analytics, when enabled, are processed by PostHog.
Does Stabilator replace my A&P or IA?
No. Stabilator helps the hangar communicate scope, get owner decisions, and leave a durable job trail. Certificates, inspections, and return-to-service still sit with the people authorized to perform and sign that work.
