For maintenance shops
Get squawks approved and invoices paid without the phone tag.
Stabilator sends owners photos and video of what you found, lets them approve each item by text, drafts logbook entries from the work order, and gets the invoice paid from their phone. We're building it with a small group of piston shops.
What changes in your shop
Approvals by text, with photos.
Show the owner the cracked exhaust instead of describing it on the phone. They approve, decline or defer each item, and you keep a time-stamped record of what they said yes to.
Fewer “is it done yet” calls.
Owners see progress and the expected return date without calling the front desk.
Logbook entries drafted for you.
Entries are drafted from the work items, parts and serial numbers. Your A&P or IA reviews and signs.
Paid the day you finish.
The invoice goes out by text with card and bank payment. Monthly payment options for owners on larger jobs are coming.
How it works
- 1Open a job by N-number; the aircraft and owner details fill in.
- 2Capture squawks on your phone with photos, video and notes.
- 3Price each item and send the estimate by text.
- 4The owner approves item by item; you get notified.
- 5Finish the work, review the drafted entries, send the invoice and get paid.
What pilot shops get
- Free use for the length of the pilot.
- A founding-shop rate locked in when paid plans start.
- Setup help in person where we can fly in, and a direct line to the founder.
- A real say in what gets built next.
From the founder
I owned a Beechcraft Baron 58P, and the hardest part wasn't the flying. It was weeks in the shop without knowing what had been found, what it would cost, or when I'd get the airplane back. Stabilator is the tool I wanted on both sides of that conversation.

Also for shops: size the market for a type
Should you buy the $6,000 Baron 58P manual?
Before you spend on manuals, tooling or training for a type, see how many are based within your radius, how hard they fly, and who owns them.
What the report answers
- How many are within reach. Every registered airframe of the type based within the radius you choose, grouped by home airport.
- How much they fly. Observed flights and hours over the last twelve months for each airframe, so you can tell the active airplanes from the ones that rarely fly.
- What next year probably looks like. An estimate of flight hours for the group over the next twelve months, based on each airframe's recent activity, to help size inspection and repair work.
- Who to call when you're ready. Owner of record and registered address for each airframe, so you know who to reach once you can support the type.

Questions
Do I have to replace my current software?
No. The pilot runs alongside whatever you use for work orders and invoicing today.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. Owners approve and pay from a text link. The app is optional.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the pilot. Paid plans will be a flat monthly price per shop with unlimited users, and pilot shops keep a founding rate.
Which shops are the best fit?
Piston and light-turbine shops with two or more people, whether or not you hold a Part 145 certificate.
Who owns the data?
Your work orders and customer list belong to your shop. Owners can see the work done on their own aircraft.
